QUESTIONS

The things people ask before they commit.

What does a swimming pool cost in Bengaluru?

As a rough guide, a new pool works out to roughly ₹2,000–₹3,500 per sq ft of water area depending on depth, finish and filtration, with renovations coming in considerably lower. The calculator on this page turns that into a range for your size. Treat it as a starting point — the real number comes after a site visit.

How long does construction take?

A straightforward residential pool typically runs 8–12 weeks from excavation to handover. Rooftop pools, structural repairs and anything needing extra waterproofing take longer. Monsoon weeks can stretch the earthwork stage, so we build that into the schedule up front.

Do I need approvals to build a pool?

For a private pool inside your own plot you usually do not need separate permission, but the pool has to sit within your sanctioned setbacks and built-up area. Apartments, clubs and commercial projects generally do need the pool reflected in the sanctioned plan. We flag anything that looks like an approval risk at the survey stage rather than mid-build.

Can you build a pool on a rooftop or terrace?

Often, yes — but it is a structural question before it is a pool question. Water weighs about a tonne per cubic metre, so the slab and columns need to be assessed by a structural engineer first. If the existing structure cannot take it, we will tell you that instead of selling you a pool.

How much water does a pool actually use?

The big number is the one-time fill. After that you are topping up evaporation and backwash losses — in Bengaluru, that is usually a modest weekly top-up rather than a refill. A cover cuts evaporation significantly, and the filtration plant recirculates the same water continuously rather than draining it.

Saltwater or chlorine — which should I choose?

Saltwater pools still sanitise with chlorine; they just generate it on site from salt, which means gentler water and less handling of chemicals, at a higher equipment cost. Conventional dosing is cheaper to install and simpler to service. For a family pool we usually walk through both and let the running cost decide it.

What does maintenance cost to run?

Two things drive it: electricity for the pump and the cost of chemicals, plus a service visit if you do not want to do it yourself. Our AMC plans are priced per visit frequency and pool size. Pools that were waterproofed and plumbed properly cost noticeably less to run than ones that were not.

What kind of warranty do you provide?

Structural and waterproofing warranties are set out in your contract and vary with the scope of work; installed equipment such as pumps, filters and heaters carries the manufacturer warranty, which we register on your behalf. We will put the exact terms in writing with the quote — please ask us to confirm them before you sign.
